The InterCity Hotel at Berlin Schönefeld airport became party central on Friday after the cancellation of the 6.30pm Easyjet flight to Gatwick left dozens of Bread&Butter visitors stranded.
Among those making the best of it were Miles Gray of Monkee Genes, Louise Hughes of Original Penguin, Mel Sykes of New Look, agent Godfrey Amponah, John Copeland and Grishma Jaspara from headhunter Fusion Associates (all pictured in this group), agent Pierre Darnton, Keith McNichols of Richmond Classics, Paul Drew of Denham and journalist Eric Musgrave.
The weary crocodile of over-loaded fashion folk walked the five minutes from the terminal to the hotel and, being mainly British, formed an orderly queue to check in.
Within minutes the fire alarm went off and everyone was ordered to leave the hotel. Being mainly British, and because the bar had started serving beer, everyone ignored the instructions and stayed put.
Those who had checked in had the fun of lugging cases upstairs as the lifts remained out of action for 20 minutes until the fire brigade arrived to give the all-clear.
To add to the fun, on Saturday morning the group got up as ordered at 5am in order to catch a 7.15am replacement flight, but only when they tottered to reception were they told it had been re-scheduled for 10.30am. How they all laughed!
